This red finch was staying warm on a rainy day a few weeks ago along with many of his friends. I call this getting foofy. They puff out their feathers to preserve their body heat on a cold day. It totally changes the look of their tiny bodies. Even more cute (if that's possible). This 6 x 6 inch oil painting is available in my Etsy store.
