Jackrabbit ears must be as thin as paper because when the sun shines through them they look like they're on fire. This painting is available in my Etsy shop.

About Me

Pamela Poll: I’ve had a successful career as a freelance magazine and book designer but I’ve always been a wannabe painter. My design teacher in college told me I should be a ‘Sunday painter.’ He saw I had good drawing and painting skills. With the computer revolution, though, I could barely keep ahead of the software upgrades so painting fell by the wayside. About 10 years ago when we moved to Colorado I started taking figure drawing classes (many times over) at the community college to get my drawing skills back. Then came painting and pastel. The upside of a down economy for me has been more time to paint. As my design business slowed down I saw an opportunity to escape being a slave to software. My focus is still life and the western sky. I live on the Colorado prairie, a land of deep blue sky and clouds that take your breath away.
