I live on the Colorado prairie. This jackrabbit wandered into my yard about sundown. He was covered with an orange glow and his eye reflected the sun. I think he knew I was watching him : ) This framed 5 x 7 inch oil on canvas panel available in my Etsy gallery. Click here to go to Etsy.

Heading Home
I was sitting in my car in a Walmart parking lot and saw this woman heading home about dinner time. The sun was setting and cast these odd zigzag shadow shapes on the pavement. Inspired I took her photo. I wonder what she would think if she knew I painted this everyday moment in her life. This is a 6 x 6 inch painting available in my Etsy gallery. On the Hunt
I painted the value study of the cowboy last year but felt frozen as to how to move forward to make it into a painting. So it sat. Last weekend I took a painting workshop with artist Kim Mackey. He guided me through the process. I'm happy with the result. But it seems like the more I paint the more I realize how far I have to go. It's like learning to play the piano. Practice, practice, practice so that the music starts to flow. This is an 11 x 14 oil available in my Etsy gallery. Click here to view it and my other paintings.
